amazing!!! it’s not my century but must say the internet is amazing….Glad you found this…I’m not being very good about new posts…Guess if I did then it would be a real job!
There’s actually a silly video I did also if you’re curious….on youtube under my name I think or jewswithoutjobs…Great to hear from you. My sister was just asking about where we got the dog that became so neurotic (do you remember Boris?…it was from your dog’s litter I think!)

So sweet about your boy with the DL….I tried to get invited to the MInd and Life institute’s summer convocation and was cordially rejected!!!

Tony, I just read the above words. I can’t agree with you more. I just retired from being a social worker for 41 years and I’ve seen it all. Kindness, graciousness, empathy…have been the core of my work.

So old friend, I thought I would play with the computer today since I’m retired and can do anything I want. I hope you have had a life of goodness and love.

I don’t remember that we ever said good-bye…so long ago. One of my sons did his graduate work at Stanford and was chosen to sit with the Dalai Lama. He was absolutely quieted and moved by this beautiful man.

How fun to see your picture and think back to a million memories. Enjoy your work.

I’ve been trying for years now to write a simple fable encompassing the nature of greed wherein we perceive it as a disease; one that might even be curable, or at the very least, readily identifiable. It would be something along the line of The Emperor’s New Clothes coupled with the little Dutch Boy with his finger in the dike: “Look, Mommy! That man is sick! He’s greedy! We have to help him get well before he can go back to work!” Greed, which is not exclusive to humans, is a specific kind of fear; fear of want, and ultimately, fear of death. It’s running rampant in our culture now, and I believe it is the most deadly seed of destruction we harbor and tolerate in our leaders and captains of commerce. We don’t seem to want to address it directly, and yet greed is the one thing, the foremost threat to our lives, our planet, our “happiness”.

I just finished a show at the Traveling Jewish Theatre and the woman who played my wife lost everything to Madoff except her house in Mill Valley which she now has put up for sale.
